Engineering Projects (India) Ltd. (EPI), a public sector enterprise under the Department of Heavy Industry, has put in an impressive half-yearly performance for the period ending September, 2007.
The Company has achieved a turnover of over Rs. 382 crores recording a growth of 42% over the corresponding period last year, booked orders valuing over Rs. 542 crores during the period which shows a growth of 161% over the corresponding period last year. For the half year ending September, 2007, EPI has earned a net profit of Rs. 7.2 crores, which shows a growth of more than 51% over the corresponding period last year. EPI, a Mini Ratna Company, has paid a dividend of 20% for the year 2006-07. It has been paying dividend continuously since 2003-04.
During this period, Uranium Ore Processing Plant at Turamdih, Jharkhand, executed by EPI for Uranium Corporation of India Ltd., was inaugurated by Dr. Anil Kakodkar, Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission and Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy. Flats constructed by EPI at the Rs. 200 crore Karnataka Housing Board Project, Suryanagar, Bangalore, are being handed over to the allottees. The quality of Construction has been appreciated by one and all. Contruction work on the Rs. 600 crore Dubai Lagoon Housing Project has also commenced and the pace of work is likely to pick up shortly.
